Seeding Action and iNaturalist are partnering to support science centers and museums as they contribute to a culture of hope and action for planetary health through the use of iNaturalist, a free app that connects people and nature. This project is funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Funded Cohorts: Organizations who are ASTC and Seeding Action members are invited to apply for up to $20,000 to undertake new or expanded projects that leverage the app to encourage local action.
The Request for Proposals for the third cohort will open in October 2026.

Any organization is welcome to order a free sign that invites visitors to use iNaturalist as a tool for protecting nature. We have several designs and options to customize elements. Social Media Toolkit
The Seeding Action with iNaturalist social media toolkit is a resource for anyone who would like to encourage their online audiences to use iNaturalist to contribute to biodiversity data collection and help protect nature. The toolkit includes graphics and sample text that can be used or adapted, and guidance for sourcing visuals and measuring success.
